PUCOMATES is the community night of PUCO Rooftop. Once a month, our rooftop changes from a focused coworking space into a lively social place. On the last Friday of the month evening, you experience different moments on a single rooftop, all made to help you connect, relax, and feel at home here.
The latest PUCOMATES was a special edition: 3 Celebrations, 1 Night, 1 Rooftop. In one night we brought together Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year, and Ramadan. Each celebration added its own theme to the event: togetherness, luck, and sharing food and culture.
Valentine’s Day: Togetherness on the Rooftop
The Valentine’s part of the night was all about togetherness, not big romantic gestures. We kept it simple and warm. People could share dinner and enjoy a cozy atmosphere on the rooftop, feel safe, and have a great time with each other and just be together. The idea was to show that you don’t have to be in a couple to feel connected. Whether you came alone, with friends, or with a partner, the goal was to feel welcome and part of the PUCO community.
Chinese New Year: Luck and Bingo Games
The Chinese New Year moment focused on luck and fresh beginnings. During PUCOMATES we hosted personalized bingo games, with cards featuring our own team and menu items. The games were easy to join, so both regular members and new guests could jump in.
People laughed, searched for the winning pictures, and celebrated each win together. The point was not serious competition, but fun and an easy way to start conversations.
Around this time, we also played with the theme of luck in the days before the event. Guests who made a purchase at PUCO received a fortune cookie with a short message inside, supported by social media posts and flyers. Together, the bingo and these small lucky moments brought the spirit of Chinese New Year into our rooftop community.
Ramadan: Indonesian Eid Dishes on PUCOMATES Night
The Ramadan part of the night highlighted sharing food, culture, and gratitude. After the iftar, we filled the tables so everyone could enjoy a special community dinner together on the rooftop.
Our kitchen team collaborated with Warung Dangin –our local taste restaurant, prepared dishes that are common in Indonesia for Eid al-Fitr, similar to what many families eat when they celebrate the end of the fasting month. For international guests, it was a chance to taste Indonesian Ramadan and Eid traditions. For Indonesian members, it felt familiar and homely, like sitting down with a big extended family. It showed what Ramadan means for many here: coming together after a month of fasting and being thankful.
Shared Community Dinner at PUCO
As with every PUCOMATES, the heart of the event was a shared community dinner. We sat together at long tables while our kitchen team served a fresh menu created for the night. The menu changes every edition. Sometimes it is pasta and pizza, sometimes Indonesian comfort food, and for this special edition it also included Indonesian Eid-style dishes. The dinner is free for everyone and offers an easy way to meet other remote workers, entrepreneurs, and creatives instead of eating alone.
Games, Connection, and a Relaxed Night
After dinner, the evening moved into light games and casual social time. The bingo helped people laugh together, talk more freely, and quickly feel at ease with the group. The focus stayed on fun and connection, not on winning. When the official program ended, the rooftop remained open. Some guests kept chatting about work, ideas, and travel plans. Others relaxed, watched the sky, or made plans to meet again later in the week. You could leave early for a fresh start the next day. Or stay longer and enjoy talking to everyone you have just met.
